Unproved Love

They were at crossroads,

He standing at the signal with a coffee mug,

The newspapers carelessly tucked under his hand, his face grim yet heart giving him tiny pangs and a tug…

She had dumped him like any other,

Destroyed his dream of one true love,

Yet she was in his heart and caused him unrelenting pain,

Maybe it was all cause her looks, her smell drove him insane…

She looked like a fairy from heaven,

With nothing in her personality so even,

But time had snatched him away from her, never to be forgiven,

After all love could never be measured or proven…
